New Lake
Woodbury County, Iowa
New Lake is located 2 miles west of I-29 at exit 135. As you enter the industrial complex going
west, there is water on both sides of the road and this is New Lake. There is a pullout on the north side of the road to view
the north part of the lake.
New Lake Is Private Property!
HOWEVER , if you remain near the road, there should be NO problems. This can be a high traffic area. This area
is part of an industrial park so please pull as far onto the shoulders as possible to avoid any accidents.
There can also be train traffic. There is also a nice pull out on the south side of the railroad tracks
to view the south side of the lake. It is possible for a vehicle to become trapped on that side of the road by a long, immobile
freight train. Again, take care to avoid becoming trapped and avoid any accidents.
