Snyder's Bend

Woodbury County, Iowa

Snyder's Bend is located 3 miles southwest of Salix, Iowa off I-29 at the Salix exit. Go west and look for the entrance sign after you go past Brown's Lake.

Snyder's Bend is operated by the Woodbury County Conservation Board. Park in the boat ramp area and walk the limestone trail to the south. The groves along the trail provide an excellent variety of habitat. There is a nice viewing stand at the south end of the grove. The lake continues to the south, but it is closed to hiking during some times of the year.
