Siouxland Birding Hot Spots

New to birding and you're not quite sure where to go in the Siouxland area? This page is merely the first link to help you find the best birding in Siouxland. Loess Hills Audubon regularly sponsors trips to these locations. Check the Outings page for the next trip. To give you an idea as to what birds you'll see, check our Birds of Siouxland page.

The Siouxland Bird Guide shown at the bottom of this page contains directions and information on all of these sites. The guides are free and can be found at the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center located in Stone State Park on Hwy 12 north. Take exit 151 off I-29 and travel north through Riverside to Hwy 12. The DPNC phone number is 712-258-0838.
